AUCSO announces new executive board
The Association of University Chief Security Officers is pleased to announce the election of Mike McCormack of the University of East Anglia as Chair.

Mike takes over from George Blanchflower of Northumbria University who has stepped into the role of Acting Chief Operating Officer.
Mike brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked at the University of East Anglia for several years and having previously served on the AUCSO executive committee.
Mike comments, 'I am happy to be taking over the reins of AUCSO at this challenging time when issues of safety and security are at the forefront of people's minds. I would like to thank my predecessor George Blanchflower for his sterling work over the years and I look forward to leading AUCSO through the many challenges that university security professionals will face over the coming year.'
Other changes to the AUCSO executive include the appointment of Bernie Duncan MBE of City University as Vice-Chair, Bob Hunt of Queen Mary University of London as the executive member for the South-east and London, and Steven Exley of Leeds as the executive member for Northern England.
