If you are responsible for providing security & related services within a University or College/Institution of Higher Education in the UK, then Yes! If you're not sure, please contact us If you're new in post, it may be worth checking if your institution is already a member- click here for a list of all members.
How many people in the same University can be members?
Membership is for the University, College or Institution as a whole, rather than 'personal' membership. AUCSO will ask for details of a primary contact (usually the Head of Security) and a secondary contact.
How much does it cost?
Membership is £200 per year per institution. Members are invoiced every April and the fee is payable within 30 days. Cheques should be made payable to 'The Association Of University Chief Security Officers' (or 'AUCSO') and sent to the AUCSO Treasurer (private address will be on the invoice). Bank transfer details can also be provided on request. Members who do not pay their fees will be removed from the membership list and email discussion list.
What do I get as a member?
You will be sent invitations to attend the national conferences, regional meetings and other meetings which may have specific interest to some members. You may also join our e-mail list which provides instant communication to most members and stimulates discussion on particular problems or services, development opportunities and crime trends.
